WordPress Plug-in Review: OnlyWire

OnlyWire Plugin

As a social media technician, I take the bird’s eye view approach of my client’s infrastructure and social media landscape, and provide a solution that compliments the execution of our social marketing goals and objectives.  I ask myself ”what is the best possible way for my client’s blog to influence the right kind of people and on the right kind of platforms” and with a click of a button?

OnlyWire was the solution for me. I conducted an online research on automated tools within WordPress and OnlyWire stood out for me.   In a nutshell, OnlyWire syndicates your content and articles to the web’s top social networking sites with a single button click.

OnlyWire aids in the process of submitting your content to over 30 social networking sites at once — including Digg, Reddit, StumbleUpon, Twitter and many others. (*excerpt taken from http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/onlywire-bookmark-share-button/)

The only downside is the one-time set up of additional accounts, then linking them to the OnlyWire platform. OnlyWire has access to sites I’ve never heard of before, but lightbulbs went on when I realized the extent of a broader reach to what I call “fresh blood”.

Once you install the plug in, it appears on the front page of your blog as a “Bookmark and Share” button - so as you post your blog, OnlyWire will ping all your linked accounts which will result in backlinks, site traffic and search engine indexing.  It also enables your readers to share your content with their community if they are current users of OnlyWire.

I recommend using OnlyWire as your WordPress plug-in, not only to share your expertise across mutliple platforms, and having a broader reach, but to expedite getting your blogs in front of your community.  I found this tool to be a time-saver and I endorse it whole heartedly.
