Kathleen is a small business owner who founded The Savvy VA in early 2007. After offering a variety of services to her clients, she was introduced to WordPress and has not looked back. Passionate about helping her clients get found on the internet, Kathleen offers several WordPress design and support packages.

Kathleen has recently added a course called “WordPress Site in a Day” where she goes onsight to teach the basics of WordPress. Each person leaves the course with a fully functioning site.  This format has been met with rave reviews.

Kathleen is an accomplished artist and designer, and a headpiece from her “Women’s Warrior Wear” line of textile sculptures won her a fairly prestigious award in the recent past.

Her educational pursuits have seen her train as a life skills coach way back in 1992, but forever on a quest for new knowledge, her more recent education has been in both cultural anthropology and art history.

Kathleen is a mom and grandma who loves to travel.  Some of the more exotic locales she’s traveled to include Spain and Morocco; but she has visited many of the US states including Hawaii, and has been to Mexico several times.

While volunteering as an ESL teacher in Vancouver, she had the pleasure of meeting people from all over the world.  She has kept in touch with several of them and who’ve offered their homes should she care to visit. Given that her business is an online business that she can work on from anywhere as long as she has internet, she will be taking some of them up on their offer very soon.  (Hmm let’s see–maybe Argentina first…)
